This photo is part of the Lenten Photo-A-Day Challenge.

My mother used to say that my great-grandmother loved to GO. They would say to her, “Do you want to GO?” and she would be sitting in the car before she remembered to say “Where are we GOING?” I’ve inherited that trait. This picture is one of the few remaining stretches of Rt 66.

The lectionary passage that spoke especially to me today was from Psalm 126:5-6

⁵   May those who sow in tears
reap with shouts of joy.
⁶   Those who go out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
carrying their sheaves.
