In the winter of 1955, we took a day trip to the Sierra Nevada mountains from the East Bay area of San Francisco. We got to play in the snow and build a snowman. That’s Abbie, Harriet, Mr. Snowman, and Betty. I know the folks in California wish there was this much snow in the Sierras this year, but the Pineapple Express is trying to melt it down again. We’re going to be hurting for water this summer, even here in Washington, unless we get a deeper snowpack pretty soon.
