Quest for Mindfulness – 19

When I am having a hard time centering during my time of meditation, I often resort to a mental image of the sea with the constant motion of the tide – rolling in, rolling out. It brings peace and quiet as it flows in, and I float my “monkey-brain” away as it ebbs.

I’m using the writings and encouragement of many people – including the daily common lectionary, this website, and this app, in my Quest for Mindfulness.
