If roses tried to be sunflowers, they would lose their beauty; and if sunflowers tried to be roses, they would lose their strength.

1. Warmish and cloudy overnight. 61 deg when I got up again this morning. By mid-afternoon it was up to 78 deg. with 81 threatened. I’m pretty sure it’s not going to make it, but it still may.
2. The sermon was about the early church in Pergamum. We saw pictures of the Roman ruins that are still there. Because this was the first Sunday of the month, I had my wine and cookie for Communion. I’m so glad I don’t have to feel guilty for staying home on Sunday morning. I love worship on Facebook Liive.
3. We went to our favorite Thai restaurant for lunch. It’s been a while since we’ve been there. I had Siamese Noodles with chicken and vegetables (liberally seasoned with Thai basil and ginger.) Big Al had Princess Snow Pea with chicken.
4. I (finally) brought our investments up to date. I haven’t reconciled them since April. It’s kind of a pain to do, so I kept putting it off. But now it’s done and hopefully I can keep it up monthly.
5. Big Al had a nice nap in the chair in the living room while I worked on the accounts. Now I’m going to chase him to his own room so I can watch some of the Olympics and my show on Prime. We’ll meet again for the news at 6:00 pm.

How about you? What made you happy today?
