Unless the government looks like the nation’s people it will never properly understand what the people it governs need.
President Andrew Jackson
1. It was in the mid 50s and cloudy (again this morning) when I got up. It warmed up to 56 by noon today, and stayed there under more cloudy skies. There’s supposed to be a cold front overnight. We shall see.
2. I started my Jacquie Lawson Advent Calendar today. It’s such a fun way to begin the day during Advent – and not as fattening as those Advent Calendars with chocolates. (And, no, I don’t get a commission if you buy one for yourself or as a gift.)
3. There was a Zoom class with Senior University this morning – From the Glacier to the Sea. The presenter was the same fellow who did the program about penguins earlier in the fall. It was very interesting. This photo is of the Mendenhall Glacier near Juneau, Alaska. Big Al and I saw it in person when we took a cruise to Alaska in the mid-2000s. It was a lot larger then, and we watched several ice bergs calve off of it.

4. We had the rest of the chili from Saturday for lunch today. Still warming and filling.
5. I have a call scheduled later this afternoon with my tame computer tech (#2 son) to see if we can figure out why we’re having trouble with streaming media. He’s a pretty good trouble shooter, and knows what to say to providers if we need to all them.
How about you? What made you happy today?
