I speak of change not on the surface but in the depth – change in the sense of renewal.

1. It was 40 deg. and gloomy when I got up this morning. The clouds continued all day with short sun breaks. The high temperature was 51 deg., but at least it’s out of the 40s.
2. Friday is the day I get long blog posts from several of my friends. I spent most of the morning reading them.
3. This time of year I begin to despair that Spring will ever arrive. I’m trying to remember that it will be here eventually. The forsythia is really showing it’s yellow, and the landscapers were here earlier in the week making sure the sprinkler system is functioning well.
4. Lunch was another Blue Apron meal – Honey Mustard Pork Chops and Brussels Sprouts with Sauté Apple and Kale. Big Al took a pass on the kale, so I fixed canned beets for him.
5. I keep getting tantalizing messages from Cunard, and Amtrak and resorts at the shore. I’m still not ready to take them up on their offers, although generally I think the real danger from the virus has been mitigated. I’m also not ready to go into debt to travel, sadly. But it’s fun to get their messages and dream.
