Five things that made me happy today – 4/8/22

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.

1. It was in the mid 40s and breezy this morning, with damp streets. A big change from 72 deg. yesterday afternoon. We had cold wind, sporadic rain showers, and bright blue skies on and off all day. High temperature was in the low 50s, but it felt colder because of the damp and the wind.

2. Sunday is Palm Sunday. I’m not sure how that’s right. It feels like Lent should have been over at the end of March, and at the same time, I’m not ready for Easter.

3. I love living in the Pacific Northwest, but occasionally, I’m reminded of things I really miss that we don’t have here. – cardinals and crawfish boils.

4. Today was a Blue Apron Day – Spicy Pork and Sesame Noodles with Bok Choy. This was probably my least favorite meal in this round of offerings.

5. I keep seeing posts from other people who slap feel discombobulated. What’s going on? Is it just the pandemic? Or is it the unsettled international situation? Of is there something else that’s making me feel like this?

How about you? What made you happy today?
