Through me course wide rivers and in me rise tall mountains. And beyond the thickets of my agitation and confusion there stretch the wide plains of my peace and surrender.

1. It was in the high 30s and clear when I got up this morning. The sun was out most of the day, but the temperature never made it above 51 deg, and it felt colder with the wind.
2. Right after breakfast I scooted down to Trader Joe’s and got a month’s supply of my sausages. I also got a tomato to have for lunch.
3. I spent most of the morning working on my story for today. Check it out here.
4. Lunch today was salads. It’s pretty cool but we needed to eat up the rest of the lettuce that was left from the tuna salad on Wednesday.
5. While I was writing my story, I was also texting with my sisters about churches that have to make a hard choice between selling their property and remaining true to Jesus’ requirement that they feed the hungry, house the homeless, and comfort the afflicted. Hard questions related to values. We focussed particularly on church buildings that are designated Heritage sites. I don’t know what the answer is, but thankfully that judgement is not my job.

How about you? What made you happy today?
