What we now know is that the embrace of crank economics presaged the general moral collapse of the Republican establishment.

1. Cool, cloudy morning, with temps in the mid 40s. Watery sunshine and scattered clouds all day from breakfast time on. High temperature of 61 deg.
2. This is the 10th anniversary of selling our house in Dallas. Even though (at this time of year) I bemoan the cold/cool weather and the constant clouds, I would never trade it for the 90+ deg heat they are enduring right now.

3. In Bible Study we looked at John 5:1-9 and Revelation 21:9 through 22:5. The John passage is about the paralyzed man who couldn’t get to the water in time to be cured. Is that because nobody was willing to help him, even though he had been there for years, but they thought other people were more worthy? Or is it because he no longer wanted to be cured (as Jesus asked)? In Revelation the pictures painted of the riches to come in the Kingdom on God are unbelievable. Is that by design or by choice?
4. I had my one-week follow-up today for my second cataract surgery. Everything is fine. I’ll go back towards the end of June to get a new prescription and new glasses. I could drive without glasses now, but my current glasses are photo-sensitive, and I don’t want to fool with chasing sunglasses. Also, I would need “readers” for close work. I hate the idea of switching glasses every time I switch activities.
5. Greisser Girls Gab today. I’m looking forward to it.
How about you? What made you happy today?
