Five things that made me happy today – 8/7/22

Gratitude is a celebration of love.

BR. DAVID STEINDL-RAST

1. High 50s this morning with bright blue skies. Mid 80s this afternoon. Really nice, and not too hot.

2. I got a coupon from OddFellas for a free entree for my birthday, so Al and I went there for brunch. We each had a three-egg omelet (don’t tell my cholesterol), and a monster pancake. My omelet had ham, bacon, cheese, tomato, green pepper and onion, and Al’s had tomato, onion, green pepper, mushrooms and cheese. The omelets came with hash browns that we both waved a fork at, before pushing them aside.

3. I worked some more on my Memoir. I’m supposed to write some of it (particularly the descriptions) as dialogue. I’m very uncomfortable writing dialogue. <sigh>

4. I finally got the sheets and towels (that I washed and dried last Tuesday) folded.

5. The recycling is gathered up, bagged, taken to the garage, and taken to the curb for pickup tomorrow morning.

How about you? What made you happy today?
