Five things that made me happy today – 11/13/22

This world is full of conflicts and full of things that cannot be reconciled. But there are moments when we can … we reconcile and embrace the whole mess, and that’s what I mean by ‘Hallelujah.’

Leonard Cohen

1. It was in the mid-30s, cloudy and still, when I got up this morning. It was clear with hazy sunshine most of today. High this afternoon was 47 deg.

2. In church today the sermon was about Isaiah’s peaceable kingdom. The preacher asked what if this wasn’t about the world as it is/was? What if all the verbs were becoming?

3. We went to Moctezumas’s for lunch. I had a chimichanga Del Mar, and Al had a chimichanga with ground beef.

4. I think I’ve got all the important chores taken care of, so I can enter the new week without anything hanging over me.

5. I’m watching the Cowboys play Green Bay this afternoon. I rarely get to see them play because they are blacked out here if they’re on at the same time as the Seahawks.

How about you? What made you happy today?
