Five things that made me happy today – 12/13/22

And when we join together to touch our sparks with our neighbors, to ignite the promise of equity and equality, justice and human dignity, we create a blaze of truth and a fire of holy love that will remake the world.

1. It was 35 deg. and cloudy when I got up this morning. My phone says it’s partly cloudy, but it looks pretty cloudy to me. High temperature today is 42 deg.

2. Bible study this morning we looked at Isaiah 7:10-16. It’s an odd passage that switches between God telling Ahaz not to put the Lord to the test, and then, later telling him, “here’s the proof that what I’m saying is so.” Feel free to sing the Messiah with me – “Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son….”

3. The Bistro was closed again today, so I scooted down to Starbucks and got a ham and cheese sandwich, a skinny mocha, and a chocolate chip cookie.

4. HCR was kind of all over the place because, as she said, the Biden administration seems to be focussed on international relations, and the Republicans are busy saying “No” to everything.

5. Greisser Girls Gab this afternoon. We can sort out whatever problems the world has.

How about you? What made you happy today?
