1. Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you, gentle readers. Here in Western Washington, I woke up to a (melting) inch of snow on the bushes and rooftops, with a temperature of 32 deg. The temperature struggled up to 43 deg under sunny skies.
2. We talked about the Transfiguration in Bible Study. We looked at Matthew’s version, and remarked that this scene seems to happen at different times in different gospels. In the lectionary, the Transfiguration is always the Sunday before the beginning of Lent.
3. Our housekeeper came today, so we have clean sheets, clean bathrooms, a clean kitchen, swept, vacuumed and mopped floors. This is the last time she will be here until after the painting is done, and new carpet is installed.
4. I picked up a tunafish sandwich at the Bistro when I finished my time on the NuStep. I also treated myself to a cookie with pink icing in honor of Valentines Day.
