Five things that made me happy today – 3/3/23

Living gratefully offers a merciful path for walking through life with our eyes and hearts wide open.

1. It was cloudy and in the mid 30s with wet streets when I got up. We’ve had drizzle and showers all day long and the high temperature was 42 deg.

2. I’m doing my best to get back to the routine I had established of eating real food, and keeping a decent schedule of sleep and exercise. The upheaval of the last couple of weeks has been hard on my diet (and consequently on my weight and blood sugar).

3. We went on the bus with FTJ Lunch Bunch to a Mexican restaurant that we had visited before the pandemic. Good food, but I’m afraid we overwhelmed them with 30 people. I had a crab enchilada and Al had an enchilada and a chimichanga.

4. It was REALLY cold and rainy when we got home, so I took the car and went by the house to fetch the mail and our rain jackets. I also picked up some popcorn that Al had requested and the mousepad I had ordered from Amazon.

5. I’ve finally got my life organized enough to watch/listen to HCR’s Politic’s Chat from Tuesday evening. One more thing that will get me back to my normal life…

How about you? What made you happy today.
