Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.

1. It was 41 degs this morning when I got up, and clearing. The sun has been out most of the day but the temperature still hasn’t gotten out of the 40s – high is 48 deg.
2. I finally took my coleus out to the front porch, and just set the little pots in the planters where they will eventually be planted. I’m letting them get acclimated to the colder temperatures before I try to shock them again by planting them.

3. Over to the Wellness Center and worked out for an hour.
4. Dinner was ham steak, fresh corn on the cob, and yellow squash for me with little green peas for Al.
5. Donald and Daisy (the neighborhood mallards who spend time around here) came in the backyard and settled down to rest. Daisy seems to be limping, but I couldn’t tell what was wrong. Donald is very solicitous. It must be spring because the landscapers are testing the watering system.
How about you? What made you happy today?
Three classes of first graders listened to “A Chair for my Mother” and learned about hope. The year is coming quickly to the end. I’m hopeful that I have made a difference in their young lives.
