They say there are going to be fireworks for New Years Eve, broadcast from Seattle. It will be fun to see them again from the comfort of my living room, after they were cancelled last year because of COVID.

For the month of November, I’m going to try to include gratitude in all my posts (and post every day.)

I’m eternally grateful that I get to spend my declining years between the mountain and the sea. For this “flatlander” from arid Texas to be able to walk out my door and look one direction and see Puget Sound, and the other direction and see Mt. Rainier is a blessing.

The weather has been amazing for the last several days. I’m thankful I had the opportunity to walk along the Sound and see the mountain again this week, even though the wind was biting and the temperature was hovering around 40 deg. I hope you, gentle readers, aren’t getting bored with my gushing over the beauty I live with every day, because it feeds my soul!
