Five things that made me happy today – 9/10/22

I love people who have no idea how wonderful they are, and just wander around making the world a better place.

1. Upper 50s and smoky haze when I got up this morning. The sky was blue, but you could see the smoke hanging in the trees. Both Stephens Pass and White Pass were closed and evacuations were ordered. The smoke kept the temperature down, so we didn’t get the 90 degs that had been threatened.

2. After breakfast, I went over to the Wellness Center to get my exercise out of the way for the day. Followed Arkansas (Wooo, Pig, Sooie) on the ESPN app while I rode the NuStep.

3. Spent the rest of the day channel cruising and watching whatever PAC-12 game caught my fancy.

4. I pulled out the cheese, crackers, cold cuts, grapes, pickles, etc. for anybody to fix whatever they wanted for lunch.

5. The Ducks are playing Eastern Washington this evening. I sure do hope they make a better showing this week than they did last week.

How about you? What made you happy today?

  1. We attended the memorial service for an amazing woman who lived life on her terms and loved everyone in her circle, which was very large. Her large family spoke of how much she cared for each one. Her friends spoke of how much she cared for them. Her church family shared about how much she loved her church and all its members and all of the work the church did. Well done, good and faithful servant. May we all have such a legacy.
